What We Do

Every child is different in the case is same with differently abled children. They are not a part of homogenous group where one standardized solution fits all. Each special child has special needs that need a thoughtful and creative way of dealing with it. AAKANKSHA identifies different abilities of children and deals with them accordingly.

 

Every child here is given full-fledged attention and learner-friendly environment to suit the different needs. These children are provided with barrier-free environments, the necessary prerequisite to develop their complete academic, social, emotional, and physical potentials.

Admission to this institute is based upon a detailed psycho-educational evaluation. Special individual curriculum and methodology is created and adopted to suit the current mental level of children.

Also, these children are individually assessed by trained specialists and training is imparted accordingly. The activities of this school are based on the guidelines of The National Institute of Mentally Handicapped, Secunderabad (A.P.).

Only of its kind in Magadh Division, Aakanksha believes in nurturing and encouragement of differently abled children, so that they get their share of respect and self-reliance in the society.
